'Tis the season for eating! The ADMU Women's Volleyball Team Alumni Players had their Christmas Dinner Party at Chelsea Market & Café, Serendra Piazza, last December 18, 2008. It was great catching up with people I haven't seen since I graduated from college! Plus, I got a great surprise. Trisha, my teammate who moved to Maryland a few months earlier, was back for the holidays, so she joined us for dinner!  We started of with the Jalapeño Cheddar & Emmental Cheese Fondue, which was served with Tortilla Chips, Bread, Baby Potatoes, and Veggies. The cheese had just the right amount of kick, which was good, especially for those who are not really fond of spicy food (like me!). Because most of the food served were good to share, three of us decided to split 2 entrees between us.  First, we had the Five Cheese Pasta, which had a rather unappetizing orange color when it got to the table, but it tasted good enough. Next, we ordered a Roasted Whole Garlic-Rosemary-Lemon Chicken, which was served with a wild rice pilaf, olives, and roasted organic vegetables.  The chicken was really tender and tasty, but the rice was rather watery, perhaps from the juice from the chicken. All in all, it was a pretty good meal. Other items on the menu worth trying include the Slow-Cooked Herbed Norwegian Salmon, the Herb Walnut Crusted Chilean Sea bass, and the Crispy Duck Confit & Mushroom Risotto. Be prepared to shell out around P500-700 pesos for your meal.
